CARE FOR YOUR NEW BONDING OR VENEERS
The following simple guidelines are designed to promote healing, prevent complications, and to enhance your comfort after your dental treatment is completed:
During the first 24 hours, please avoid the stress of eating hard foods.
Sensitivity: you may experience some sensitivity to both hot and cold. In most cases, the nerve is experiencing sensitivity to the treatment.. Usually, this reaction will diminish over time. Gum sensitivity can be alleviated by rinsing with a warm salt water solution (½ teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water). Do not swallow the salt water solution.
Care: Continue your normal home care of brushing with a soft toothbrush and flossing. Always use a toothpaste approved by the ADA. Please avoid biting your finger nails; opening bobby pins with your teeth; or chewing on ice cubes or bones.
Protect your teeth, always.
Dislodgement or Chipping: On rare occasions, your restoration may become dislodged or chipped. Please call the office, for an appointment, to have it replaced or repaired. Bring the restoration with you at this time.
